EVC™ means Excellence in Value Creation. The EVC Framework was launched in 1997 by Governan LLC. Since then, EVC has been continuously enhanced to provide unique methods for strategy management and solution value creation practices. As part of the EVC version 3 development, in 2016, Governan developed the Project Value Management Professional (PVMP™) training and certification program to provide business and technology professionals a method to increase the likelihood of realizing the benefits from new solutions. In 2018, and by having worked with numerous business and technology leaders in digital transformation initiatives, Ruben Melendez—Governan's CEO—realized that there was a need to add components to the EVC Framework to make operating models more dynamic, agile, and adaptable, using artificial intelligence (AI). As a result, in 2019 Governan introduced the EVC Strategist course— an approach to better integrate the business strategy with digital infrastructure and create dynamic and adaptable operating models. After seeing the success of the EVC Strategist method, Ruben Melendez adapted its content, and in March of 2021, Ruben Melendez reintroduced it to the global market as the StrategyOps approach. EVC is currently used by 20,000+ technology and business professionals worldwide.
